7:00 - 8:00 PM Handicapped Riding - Cassie Law
Speaker canceled due to illness.

The Meeting was brought to order at 7:10 PM by Vice President Joan Elbert. There were (11) members present and (1) guest - Michelle Krona.

1. Secretary’s Report - There was no secretary’s report from the May meeting.
2. Treasurer’s Report - Lynda reported that we received refund form Rainbow for $100.00 overpayment of arena contract. Lynda received payment from two new members: Tana Johnson and Joe Weibusch. There has not been a lot of activity in checking account. Lynda transferred $2,500 from savings to checking to cover June horse show costs. Lynda will have on-line account information at the next meeting.
3. Committee Reports
a) Trails Committee - Greg Pasillas reported on nice rice at Wild River. He recommends calling ahead or registering on line for camping. Trail ride at Hay Creek was good too, but revealed that there has been some logging in the trails area and many trails have been widened.
b) Show Committee - Joan passed the horse show sign up sheet around for members to sign up to work at show. Joan has contacted club members and others to come and help.
c) Finance Committee - No report
d) Newsletter/Publicity - No May newsletter. Peggy will talk to Shane.
e) Parades - Cottage Grove Parade is July 17th at 10:30 AM - 9:00 line up, there will be no pony ride fundraiser for this year. South St. Paul Parade is June 23rd at 6:30 PM. The Hastings parade is in July and Northfield Jesse James Days parade is not taking applications. Email Trina for parade details.
f) Royalty - No report
g) GCSCA - Trina r reported that there were 3 people at the last GCSCA meeting. SRSC membership list is due to GCSCA - Joan will email to Jen Valek.
h) WSCA - SRSC membership list is due June 30, Joan will email to WSCA Secretary.
i) Minnesota Horse Council - no report
j) Saddlelite Gear/Clothing - Leslie brought the remainder of SRSC clothes. There was a bill from Vickie for 2005 awards. Lynda will pay. We have had embroidery problems with new embroiderer of Vickie’s; Leslie has located a new company - Threads and Ink. More information to follow.
k) Bridge View School - SRSC gave 180 rides at Bridge View School and raised $180.00 for the school. Joan shared the appreciation of administration and staff at Bridge View.
4. New Business
a) July Speaker - Joan will talk to Cassie about July speaker
b) August Speaker - Krishona Martinson, the Regional Extension Educator from Andover Regional Center will appear and talk about the Animal Identification Act.
c) Greg reported that public comment is welcome for the William O’Brien State Park regarding opening up trails for joint use and horseback riding.
5. Adjourn Meeting - Meeting adjourned at 8:45 PM by Vice President Elbert.
