7:00 - 8:00 PM Jazz Roemer gave a presentation on Shiatsu Massage.  She talked about self-care and the human body’s energy channels.  She spoke about the importance of balancing the body.  Jazz considers herself a healer.  She studied at Center Point Shiatsu.  Shiatsu is similar to acupuncture only using the fingers, thumb, palms, elbows and knees instead of needles.  Jazz talked of the many benefits and said that there are specific treatments for specific complaints.  She also explained that Chiropractic care is complimentary to Shiatsu and is based on the spine and correcting alignment problems.  Shiatsu accesses the whole body.  You can contact Jazz at 612-245-7781.  She is willing to travel and will come to your home for a consultation and treatment.

The Meeting was brought to order at 7:00 PM by President Stephanie Rendell There were (11) members present.

1.    Secretary’s Report - Secretary’s report from June was read and approved.
2.    Treasurer’s Report - There was no Treasurer’s report.  Stephanie reported that we received a refund check of $207.00 from Lawrence Agency due to fewer activities than expected. The Insurance Policy is up for renewal 8-15-2006
3.    Committee Reports
a)    Trails Committee  - Greg Pasillas reported that UMore is Hosting an Open House on August 17 from 4 - 8 PM.  Phil Larson has asked SRSC to provide an equine presentation. Peggy, Greg and Stephanie will be planning this and reporting to the membership.
Greg also reported that SRSC has signed agreement with UMore to patrol the park.  Members will check for park passes, trail etiquette, motorized vehicles reporting to UMore.
b)    Show Committee -   No Report
c)    Finance Committee  - No report
d)    Newsletter/Publicity  - A May - June newsletter was printed on the Internet.  Joan will get sponsor information to Shane for the photographer and other sponsors for banner displays.
e)    Parades Royalty - Trina gave a great report on the So St. Paul Parade.  It really helps to have additional members in the parade who will walk with the horses.    Other parades we were considering such as Inver Grove Heights, and Hastings conflicted with horse show dates.
f)    Royalty - Cassie invited every one to Caity and Camille big birthday bash on July 16 from 1 - 6 PM.
g)    GCSCA - Trina reported that the Cannon Falls show was called due to darkness and only the remaining classes and only the people already entered will be able to run these additional classes at the Annual GCSCA Show.
h)    WSCA  -  No report
i)    New SRSC Gear supplier is Threads & Ink in Lakeville.  Talk to Jessie.
j)    State Fair Horse Show - Members were asked to let Joan know if they were eligible to ride at the State Fair Horse Show. The deadline is coming up.
