Membership Meeting

Agenda

The Meeting was called to order by President Stephanie Rendell at 7:30 PM. There were 6 members present and 3 guests.

Speaker: Krishona Martinson from the University of Minnesota Extension Service gave a very informative presentation o the National Animal Identification System. Krishona supplied handouts answering the most frequently asked questions about NAIS. She handed out farm registration cards and answered questions from the members present.

1. Secretary’s Report - Secretary’s report from the July 10th meeting was read and approved.

2. Treasurer’s Report - There was no Treasurer’s report.

3. Committee Reports
a) Trails Committee Greg and Peggy talked about the UMore Open House on August 17. Saddlelite Rider members Peggy, Joan and Stephanie will be providing demonstrations on grooming and saddling a horse. Greg reminded members to check the website for their travel log from their Black Hills trail-riding trip.
b) Show Committee - Joan reminded everyone of the OTH show scheduled for September 16 and Peggy will make sure there are 68 first place awards.
c) Finance Committee - No Report
d) Newsletter/Publicity - No Report
e) Parades - No Report
f) Royalty - No Report
g) GCSCA - No Report
h) WSCA - Saddlelite will not have any representatives at the WSCA show on Labor Day weekend.

a. Joan and Rich talked about helping search for a lost Mule and asked SRSC members to spread the word about the missing “Ginger”.
b. Members decided to have no speaker for the September meeting.
